The Essential Weibo Guide

I just got a Weibo! For those who aren't familiar with it, this is a Chinese microblogging site with Twitter functions & Facebook chat & Instagram filters. I really love it, so I made a quick picture tutorial to show you how you can register and how the site works.
Alsoo...Please follow me on Weibo @Bumbleberri!

I will be using my WEIBO to update (and quick snapshots) when I'm in China (as I will be there this winter, but more on that later)! Also I'd recommend you to sign up for an account if you ever plan on sharing quick updates when you are study-abroad or on vacation in China because Twitter and a lot of other social networking sites will be blocked

Anatomy of a Chinese Sandwich

A delicious Chinese bakery sandwich, remade in my kitchen! I found that this kind of triangular, crustless sandwich originated from England, but now adapted to the Oriental audience. I used to get these packaged from my local Beijing bakery during summers when I would visit my grandparents. This sandwich is super nutritious and filling! You can literally package them in plastic wrap and take it anywhere for on the go.
You can, of course, substitute whatever you prefer instead of the eggs, cheese, and bologna in my sandwich. If you really want to get legitimate Chinese flavor, try adding pork floss (肉鬆), which is a delicious dried pork product. It's delicious!

How to Fake Short Hair When You Have Long Hair

You've probably seen loads of Youtube hair tutorials on how to fake a bob with long hair, but this one is for the girls who want to fake the short hair, but don't like the bobcut look.

Inspired by Yina from Chinese drama "Fashionable Female Editor"
Left is untucked and messy, Right is the random layers of hair tucked underneath with pins

If you have long, layered hair, this volumious updo is for you! Hope you enjoy.
Step by Step sketches below to teach you how to fake shorter hair.

Double Cone Updo 梦幻剧发型DIY

Whist browsing spcnet and Chinese drama forums on baidu, some netizens described this hairstyle as some sort of icecream waffle cone, hence this name is title of this post! Haha okay let's just get to the catch. Please excuse my not-quite-volumious version of this elegant hairstyle, but it really does take hella teasing of the hair to achieve this look - so if you are going for the real deal, please do so. All the more power to backcombing like crazy!
